Daniel's eclectic work has received numerous accolades nationally. Daniel received his BFA from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA, with honors in photography. Immediately after graduating, he went to work as the sole staff photographer at SBG Partners, a cutting edge graphic design firm in San Francisco, CA. At the tender age of 27 he opened his own studio in San Francisco.
His work has been represented and received awards in several design and photography competitions including American Photography, Communication Arts Photography Annual, Graphis Photography Annual, Photo District News profile and interview, PDN | Nikon Self Promo Awards - First Place, a James Beard Foundation Book Award nominee for Food Photography, the American Advertising Federation (AAF) award, and the ‘Best of Show’ award at the ADDY Awards from the Greater San Francisco Ad Club.
Throughout his career, Daniel has worked with national and global brands to create the "look, tone and feel" of major national advertising campaigns, book publishing companies, Lookbooks and e-commerce for a variety of companies, including: Adidas, Amazon.com, AT&T, Banana Republic, Chronicle Books, Cole Haan | Nike, Hewlett - Packard, InStyle Magazine, Levi Strauss & Co., New York Times Magazine, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and W Hotels.
Daniel has also been an adjunct photography professor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
